Circulation
All residents of Summit are eligible to receive a library card for free. Just show proof of Summit residency and we will give you a card.
Computer & Internet
Everyone is free to use the Internet at the library. However, you must have your valid library card with you and have no outstanding fees. There are a few other rules:
- No chat room use is allowed
- Time limits: A maximum of two 30 minute sessions per day for general surfing.
If you are doing homework, job searching, creating resumes, filling out unemployment forms, etc., your time may be extended, depending on the number of people waiting.
- Printing costs: Ten cents per page for black and white printout; fifty cents per page for color. This includes "mistakes".
- The children's computers are turned off from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturdays and on school closing days to allow the library staff members a lunch break.
- You must have a valid library card with no fines. Wi-Fi available.
Volunteer
School related volunteer service. Specific duties are negotiated between the volunteer and the library administration.

School Textbooks
Summit Public Library has a copy of all the textbooks used in grades 1 through 8 for District 104. We do not have workbooks. The textbooks cannot leave the library, but you are welcome to make photocopies of the pages you need. We also have Accelerated Reader Lists. Ask for them at the Children's Desk.
Fax Machine
$1 per page in state, $2 per page out of state,
$5 international. Incoming faxes are $.50 per page.
Copy Machine
$.10 black and white, $.50 color
